2010 Season Begins!
To All Our Sponsors,
Just like to let everyone know that this weekend was our first points competition race to defend our Track Championship from 2009 and we won. It's because of all of you that we are able to race at this level and continue to compete. The car's chassis this season is being tuned by Gary Abbey from Gary's Chassis and Fabrication. He has modified our wheelie bar, actually built a complete new set and adjusted them to work with the launch of the car. Things have never been this good. Wayne and David are building serious horsepower, Mike is getting it to the ground with his converter and transmission and all of you are helping to support our team. Hopefully we will do our job and not let anyone down. Thank you again, Vinnie and Emilie * * * * * How's this for a scary ride? The car is running in the 8.40's and 8.50's at Milan and Lapeer, exactly the same both places, 5.40's in the 1/8.
On this pass, I launched at 6000 and immediately broke a ladder bar bolt on the right rear, no traction on that side and the car lifted straight up on the left side and turned right. I ended up in the right lane, it was during time trials and it was a lone pass - Lucky for me and anyone that would have been over there. I saved it before going into the weeds on that side. Scary! Almost ruined the day, but we won 1st place!!! |
